doctors/nurses, provides for the health care needs of community
residents. Routine x-rays are taken at the facility, though
blood work, CK-MB, drug screens, and cultures are performed
by visiting specialist. ACLS and PALS trained nurses, a cardiac
monitor, and a cardiac defibrillator are among the features
of the Centre’s emergency department. Obstetrics are
dealt with in Thunder Bay.
Also available within the community are: dental, public health nursing, home care, and mental health services. A diabetic educator, dietician, and speach pathologist provide treatment and services on a visiting basis.
