 The
Dryden Regional Health Centre is a 41-bed
acute care hospital which includes 31 acute care and 10 chronic
care beds. There are 120 full-time and 100 part-time employees.
Services include 24-hour emergency services, general medicine
and surgery, critical care, oncology, pediatrics and obstetrics.
Visiting surgeons provide gynecology, orthopedic (including
joint replacement) and ENT surgery. Specialty clinics, provided
by visiting specialists, include dermatology, gerontology,
gynecology, cardiology, pediatrics, internal medicine, oncology,
orthopedics, radiology, rheumatology, ENT and psychiatry.
Addictions, problem gambling, adult mental health counseling,
crisis response and case management services are also offered.
The community is serviced by the Dingwall Clinic, King Street
Clinic and the Dryden Area Family Health Team. There are 12
family physicians, 2 surgeons, 1 ER physician, 5 dentists,
3 optometrists and 2 chiropractors practicing in the community.
