The most precious patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are receiving leading-edge care thanks to donors to the Health Sciences Foundation. Grants totaling $180,000 provided new isolettes to regulate body temperature, a safer shuttle to transport newborns in incubators, and equipment to provide breathing assistance for newborns with respiratory issues.
The Neurosurgery Education and Outreach Network (NEON) is comprised of Neurosurgery Nurse Educators and Clinical Outreach Specialists/Advanced Practice Practitioners from each neurosurgery centre, supported by hospital administrators. NEON members are dedicated to neurosurgery nursing program implementation and will support system-wide improvements through education and outreach across neurosurgery and non-neurosurgery centres.
