The inpatient surgical service provides comprehensive care delivered by a skilled team of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, respiratory therapists, social workers, utilization co-ordinators, pastoral care and other support staff.

The types of surgical services offered are general, neurosurgical, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat, gynecological, plastic, oral and dental, ophthalmology, thoracic, vascular and urology.

The service promotes an interdisciplinary learning environment, often teaching a variety of students from medical residency, nursing, respiratory, physiotherapy and ambulance programs. These students are enrolled from a variety of university and colleges throughout the community, region and province.

We are the only surgical service provider in the community and are a referral center for the region. We work closely with our community partners to ensure that services we provide are meeting the needs of the community and organization. Through the planning and providing of both preoperative and postoperative assessments, patients will have a positive outcome.
