 Children
from infancy up to 17 years are cared for in our cheerful,
16 bed Paediatric Inpatient Unit. Our very caring, specialized
team is dedicated to providing individualized, family-centred,
quality care for children requiring medical, surgical and
mental health services. Our team consists of paediatricians,
physicians, a child psychiatrist, registered nurses, registered
respiratory therapists, social workers, a psychometrist, a
registered dietitian and a Child Life Specialist.
Parents are encouraged to stay 24 hrs a day to support and
comfort their children. One parent is welcome to stay overnight
with child.
Our Child Life Specialist provides individualized programs
and care for each child. The Child Life Specialist will assist
to normalize your child’s hospital stay through play,
learning, self-expression and social interaction and assist
to prepare and support your child through hospital procedures
and/or the effects of hospitalization.
Visiting Hours:
11:30 am – 8:30 p.m.
- 2 visitors per patient not including parents/guardians
- Parents/primary care givers 24 hours/day
- One parent/primary
care giver may stay overnight
- Siblings of patients may visit
- No other children 12 years and under
