New Medical Director of Critical Care

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adrian Robertson to the position of Medical Director, Critical Care at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Robertson will assume these responsibilities, effective May 12, 2006.

 

Dr. Robertson is an Intensivist with a clinical background in Emergency and Trauma Medicine, Critical Care and Ethics. He currently holds membership on many hospital committees including the Ethics, Trauma and Organ Donor Committees and the Critical Care Team. Adrian also holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor with the new Northern Ontario School of Medicine and is a Regional Coroner.

 

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Adrian Robertson in his new role.

 

My congratulations are extended to Dr. Michael Scott on his recent appointment as the Physician Team Lead with the Ministry of Health Performance Coaching for Intensivist Lead Critical Care Units. The Lead reports to the Northwestern Ontario LHIN and Assistant Deputy Minister of Health. Michael, as Medical Director of the Critical Care team was instrumental in successfully implementing the redevelopment of the Critical Care Unit and the Intensivist Lead Model at the new Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
