What is the Giant Colon®?

The Giant Colon® is a state-of-the-art walk-through reproduction of the human colon, which measures 40 feet in length and is 8 feet high. This educational and multimedia exhibit is designed to show visitors the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer and other diseases such as ulcerative colitis, rectal cancer, diverticulitis, and Crohn’s disease. As visitors walk through the exhibit, they will receive healthy lifestyle tips and explanations of various diseases on interactive media screens strategically located throughout the exhibit. In addition to the Giant Colon®, displays and information booths will be provided by health groups and organizations.

The GIANT COLON Exhibit is an educational initiative of the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada.
