“A
terrific response by women in Northwestern Ontario,”
is how organizers of Friday’s Breast Screening Challenge
described the day. As of 8 p.m. Friday, 122 women received
a mammogram and became new clients with the Ontario Breast
Screening Program (OBSP).
We are absolutely delighted by the number of new clients
who are now part of the Ontario Breast Screening Program,”
says Lori Della Vedova, Manager Screening Programs at Regional
Cancer Care. “The OBSP office phone was very steady
as new clients were registered all day long across the region.
We came close to our ambitious goal of 150,” Lori explains.
“We congratulate all the screening sites involved in
Thunder Bay and across the region in Kenora and Fort Frances.
Special thanks to all the women who took time out of their
busy day to participate in this Challenge.”
