Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is recognized among the elite academic health sciences centres in our country. As a leader in Patient and Family Centred Care, we are also encouraged by our status as a Teaching and Research Centre of Excellence. We continue to receive outstanding support from our Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments. Our partnerships with other leaders in healthcare, including the private sector, means that we are considered to be among the top molecular research centres in the world through the work of the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute.

 

In addition, our affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine provides an outstanding acute care training environment for our own “home-grown” physicians. Nurses and Technicians are also provided a great training platform as Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre offers training on state-of-the-art equipment as we prepare our future healthcare leaders.

 

As Chair of the Board of Directors, I want to thank everyone for their support.
