The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is a 375-bed
acute care referral centre dedicated to the provision of outstanding
patient care. Our merger of local hospitals into one new regional
care centre is complemented by the addition of a new state-of-the-art
facility. To meet our growing needs, we require professionals
with a passion for health care.
You will be responsible for providing quality nursing care
to a broad range of patients. A critical thinker with demonstrated
problem solving skills, you will optimize your knowledge and
experience providing initial nursing care to trauma patients,
triage, cardiac arrhythmias, and cardiac monitors. You are
currently registered as an RN with the CNO, certified in BCLS,
have at least two years’ acute patient care setting
experience, and preferably, and are certified or have recently
completed continuing education in emergency nursing. Skilled
in performing complete physical assessments, you have finished
the WR 400 course and are competent with intravenous therapy
and initiation, central venous line management, aseptic techniques,
crisis therapy, and teaching of ER patients and family members.
We are designated as an English/French speaking Health Sciences
Centre and encourage bilingual candidates to apply.
