Patient Accounts and Cashier services, located beside Admitting, are available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekends, except holidays. Cashiers offer safe keeping services. Billing staff register patient accommodation requests, request changes, prepare billings and verify insurance coverage on request. If you know that you will be discharged on a holiday, please arrange to settle your account in advance as only basic cashier coverage will be provided by Admitting. The Health Sciences Centre accepts cheque, cash, Interact and major credit cards.

In-Room Telephone Service

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre charges a daily rate for telephone service. Payment is due upon discharge. The telephones are hearing aid compatible and have a volume control button. If your telephone is not working, contact your nurse who will make arrangements for a replacement or repair. Internet usage is not permitted from your patient room.

Personal Television Rental Services

Hospitality Network, in partnership with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, is pleased to provide patients with personal bedside television rental service. A portion of the revenues generated is returned to the hospital to help fund various hospital improvements. The Hospitality Network has also launched a TV gift program within the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
